1979
|
Records Deposition Service, Inc. of Michigan (RDS-MI) is founded and incorporated by
court reporters Harvey & Lynn Verbelun. A 500 square foot office is rented in the “Detroit
Free Press Building” and equipped with a typewriter and one copy machine.

1984
|
RDS-MI relocates its headquarters to the “Murphy Telegraph Building” in Detroit and,
along with partners, establishes and incorporates Records Deposition Service of Ohio.
In 1991, RDS-MI sells all its interest in RDS-OH to its partners who continue to operate
independently.

1984
|
James M. Jourdan, Attorney at Law, joins RDS-MI as Vice President / General Counsel
to establish and manage the “Sales & Marketing” section.

1985
|
RDS-MI purchases “Legal Support Services” and integrates its operations.
|
|
1986
|
RDS-MI, along with partners, establishes and incorporates Records Deposition Service
of Texas. In 1988 RDS-MI sells all its interest in RDS-TX to its partners who continue to
operate independently.

1987
|
Larry C. Verbelun joins RDS-MI to form IT Department.
|
|
1988
|
Work on RDS’s first networked computer system and relational database begins.
RDS-OH and RDS-TX are subsequently computerized.

|
1994
|
RDS-MI relocates its headquarters to the “Onyx Plaza” in Southfield, Michigan.
|
|
1997
|
RDS-MI further streamlines its operation by purchasing and implementing an internal
digital document storage and retrieval system. “Records on ROM, Inc.”, a “physical to
digital” document conversion service, is established.

1999
|
RDS-MI board of directors names Larry C. Verbelun to President/CEO and Wendy M.
Kovacs to Director of Southfield Operations.
“ESRS.net”, a digital document storage and retrieval system is introduced. Clients are
now able to download subpoenaed records in digital format.

2004
|
RDS-MI relocates its headquarters to the “Cumberland Tech Center” in Southfield,
Michigan and begins work on a new computer system and web-based application
software. The new system is fully operational in September of 2006. Clients are now
able to obtain “On-Line” status in “Real-Time” mode.

2006
|
RDS-MI establishes Records Deposition Service of Illinois. An office in “The Factory”
Building, Chicago River North Area is leased and equipped.

2007
|
Records Deposition Service of Michigan continues to operate as Michigan’s largest and
most efficient legal support company, developing new client oriented technologies,
growing its Chicago operation and finding new markets to explore.
